WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO?
First you send off for your licence.
Then you will need to do some theory. (The theory you are required to know is printed inside the Licence). This is marked during a normal lesson.
Then you go along to a grading, where you will be given a minimum of 2 fights against people (where possible) approx. your own size and grade. How well you do here will determine what grade you get! You can not be graded in contest further than your theory, so make sure your theory is up to date before you grade!

Theory - Free!!!
Grading - Approx. £10 - £15 Will vary, depends on who is running them.
